Short Day's Parable

Marriage Over The Rite of Dance:

I was once told by someone that marriage of the unlikeliest pair had been, not dependent on chance, but once one particular trait in the woman who told me of their vows that she had made with the man. She had come in the room swinging her hips outrageously, snapping her fingers loudly and with a smile that might have been seen on a slaphappy Disney character. While I pretended to be annoyed, she told me,
"That's why your dad married me. Because when we went to concerts he stood stiff, simply clapping his hands. He was without rhythm."
"Really?" I asked her. She just grinned.
